エコ製品 家電製品 エレクトロラックスの家電製品は主にヨーロッパで生産されています。ＥＵでは1995年から家電製品にエネルギーラベルが導入されています。このラベルは製品の比較を消費者のためにし易くする目的で、採用となりました。エレクトロラックスの白物は冷蔵庫，洗濯機、食器洗い機のすべての分野で、省エネのトップクラスの地立つ位をきずいています。 冷蔵庫の場合は、エレクトロラックスがノンフロン製品の導入のリーダになりました。1995年からヨーロッパ工場ではオゾン層を全く破壊せず、地球温暖化にも全く影響をあたえないノンフロン・モデルの生産をはじめ、1999年秋より、日本で初めてＨＣ（ハイドロカーボン）を使ったノンフロン冷凍・冷蔵庫の販売を始めました。 業務用製品 ＊ 業務用洗濯機のトップブランド・ウェスケーターは、エネルギーと水の消費量を削減し、環境への影響を最小限に抑えるための製品をコンスタントに開発しおります。1992年には商業クリーニング業界に向け、環境に配慮した水洗いシステム、“アクアクリーン”を開発し、国内販売を開始致しました。 ＊ ハスクバーﾅのトリマー等に搭載されている、ユニークなＥ−テックエンジンは燃費を抑え、有害粒子の排出を減少します。そして、このハスクバーナＥ−テックエンジンは米国の’CARB’と’EPA’の排ガス規制に合格しています。ハスクバーナ芝刈り機のほとんどは触媒コンバータ付き低排気エンジンを標準装備しています。

Electrolux will lead the development of products and processes with high environmental performance, and actively promote demand for these products. This is our short, but strong environmental strategy. From Electrolux headquarters in Stockholm Sweden, global environmental policies and guidelines are introduced. There are three main driving forces for Electrolux environmental activities ＊ Increasing demand for products with lower environmental impact and lower consumption of resources (electricity, water and chemicals) ＊ The potential for reducing consumption of resources, and thus reducing environmental impact and costs ＊ Increasingly more rigorous environmental criteria in the form of laws and regulations, mainly referring to energy consumption, recycling, use of chemicals, and emission limits for combustion engines in e.g. outdoor products. With a proactive approach to environmental management, it is clear that, besides giving benefit to nature and our consumers, it also gives us a competitive edge. This is for example shown in the fact that the Electrolux stock is listed on the Swedish eco funds as well as on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. Let us give you some hands on examples of environmental improvements! Consumer Products Most of the Electrolux Home Products (refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners etc.) are made in Europe. Already in 1995, the European Commission started the introduction of an Energy label for white goods. The objective of the Energy label is to make it easier for the consumer to compare the energy efficiency of different products. Electrolux white goods are found in the top class (most energy efficient) in every product segment (refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers). When it comes to refrigerators, Electrolux also took an early lead in introducing freon (CFC)-free products. Since 1995, the refrigerators and freezers in Europe have not contained any substances that can damage the ozone layer. In fall 1999, Electrolux was the first company in Japan to introduce a refrigerator/freezer using HC (hydrocarbons), which will harm neither the ozone layer nor contribute to Global Warming. Professional Products ＊ The top brand for industrial laundry, Wascator, is in constant development towards more energy efficient products and processes, with a minimized impact on the environment. Already in 1992, the AquaClean system, a water-based washing system, using no hazardous chemicals was launched. AquaClean is also sold in Japan. ＊ In our range of power products for professional use, the Husqvarna trimmers etc. have introduced the unique E-tech technology. Developed by Husqvarna, this technology combines efficient engine technology with a new type of catalytic converter. It reduces emissions well beyond the stringent existing emission limits in the US (CARB, EPA). Most of Husqvarna lawn mowers are equipped with catalytic converter and low emission engine.
